Developing Effective and Sustainable Implementation of Integrated Management of Water Resources and Related Ecosystems for the Pacific Island Member States (SAPI) To strengthen the national and sub-regional capabilities of the Pacific Island member states for the systematic assessment and resolution of their water resources and coastal zone management issues, in a manner that ensures access to clean water and the management of these resources in a sustainable manner. Biogas Compression Trials To trial and progress biogas technology initiated under IMPRESS to compress and store and store biogas into gas tanks for ease of use, and open up more business avenues for biogas operators. Feasibility of Implementing PHA Production in Samoa To assess Samoa’s capacity to provide bioplastic alternatives to its current plastics through circular bioeconomy approaches and implementation of a PHA (polyhydroxyalkonoate) production facility using waste biomass. Samoa Water Masterplan and Investment Priorities Study Review environmental sustainability of proposed Masterplan project options through an assessment of: cost effective approaches to improve environmental impacts, mitigation and monitoring; catchment management and protection; security and protection of water sources; and ecological enhancement.
